As I rolled out of Boulder today and onto the highway into the mountains, I saw a nice old Mercedes from the 1970s.
I totally want to get one. They look so cool. A nice high powered roomy sedan.
Here’s a good example of what I’m talking about, a white Mercedes 200 (W115) discovered while walking around Split Croatia.
That chrome side view mirror is so wild, and the chrome trim around the windshield is a nice touch. Chrome trim makes a car look like a beautiful machine. You won’t find it on many cars today, if any. The reality is car manufacturers are cheap, and push cheap shit these days. Designs are horrible due to this fact.
Never mind that, lets take a look at this beauty.
I love how those circular headlights stand out.
It was a hot day out, and so you can see how the owner of this Mercedes 200 / W115 grabbed as much shade as possible to keep it a cool ride.
Somehow, Mercedes makes boxy look cool and scream great design. So there you have it, a cool looking Mercedes 200. In total, just shy of 2 million W115s were produced between 1968-1976.
