Parking is tight in Naples Italy.
With that in mind, the Fiat 126 is a perfect city car to squeeze into any parking spaces that you might find.
Cool sun roof. A simple canvas flap. Security must have been less of a concern or requirement in the 1970s.
The Fiat 126 was introduced in 1972 to replace the super popular Fiat 500 which you find all over Sorrento, and the Amalfi coast.
I find it hard to believe they went this way, the 500 has such a cool design. The 126 was made in Italy until 1979, and was also manufactured in Poland as the 126p until the year 2000. Additionally, this model was built by Zastava in Yugoslavia.
The Fiat 126 was never quite as popular as the Fiat 500, nevertheless a fantastic city car. It was most popular in Poland.
Now that is what I call some creative parallel parking…just nudge on in there.
You can see the driver has used that front end to nose into a parking space many many times. Move over scooter!
