I have a soft spot for this car, and I remember drawing it many times back when it was released back in 1984. It was a unique car that I read about in the March 1984 issue of Popular Mechanics. Unique in that it had a plastic shell as a body, instead of steel.
This one is a shiny red 1985 Pontiac Fiero 2M6 found on the streets of Cabbagetown in Toronto. I watched the driver proudly park the car in front of the restaurant as I was leaving.
It is both a beautiful and bizarre looking sporty two seater.
As I mentioned before the body panels are plastic, so here we are almost 30 years later and there isn’t any rust to be seen. An easy solution to maintaining that mint condition look.
So, there you have it a wonderful Fiero 2M6 ready to let it rip on a summer night.
If you liked this one be sure to also check out the 1986 fastback version of the Fiero.
