I was rolling down the highway on my way back from Colorado to Canada, and I spotted this blue Corvette Stingray special delivery.
Someone is going to be a very happy person when this arrives, I know I would be.
This is the second generation of the Stingray, and the third generation of the Corvette.
One of my all time favourite cars. Love those fender flares that balloon out over the wheels.
I also dig the round brake lights.
It is tough to tell exactly looking at this photo, and certainly while driving down the highway, but I suspect this is a Vette from the early 1970s, perhaps a 1972 Corvette Stingray. 1972 was the last year that this car had both front and rear chrome bumpers. I can’t see the front bumper in this photo, so it is possible it is 1973 or 1974 model, the 2 last years for the rear chrome bumper. However, the vents just behind the front wheels in the body of the car look like they did in the 1970-1972 years.
You can also tell this was one from the early 1970s because of that back window. It was later on in 1978-1979 when the rear fastback window was introduced, and we saw that in the 1980 Corvette Coupe.
So, there you have it a fun looking 1972 Corvette Stingray!
